There’s something about an all-white palette that never goes out of style, and Ian and Bonnie’s ceremony at Blythswood Square Hotel is a perfect example of that. The room’s dark, panelled walls made the perfect backdrop for tall ivory floral installations, each one standing proud above soft candlelight below.
We lined the aisle with clusters of white roses and hydrangea, mixed in with candle wax sand vases all the way down, so as the light started to fade, the whole space took on this really warm, glowing feel. Simple chiffon drapes on the chiavari chairs kept things soft without pulling focus from the flowers, and the ivory runner underfoot just finished the whole thing off.
No bold colours, no big statement pieces, just a room full of candlelight and roses. Sometimes that’s all you need.
